District 4L6 held their annual Christmas Party on December 8th at the Mira Mesa Senior Center. The annual event included holiday “hors d’oeuvres,” a festive catered dinner, and dinner/dancing into the late night. During dinner and dancing, the whole roof of the Mira Mesa Senior Center began shaking…and what to our eyes did appear?
But Santa and 12 reindeer….well, maybe not 12 reindeer, but certainly Santa picking up gifts for the children of the Wounded Warrior families. Lions throughout San Diego Country generously contributed gifts of all types to the children, and Santa whisked them away on his sleigh to help the Lions complete the holiday Wounded Warrior Project. After loading all the gifts into his sleigh, Santa was kind enough to let us take photos before climbing back into the chimney for his ride across the globe.
Happy holidays everyone and Happy New Year. May 2019 bring us greater opportunities to serve our communities and its citizens in need.
